Metric Electrical and Plumbing UK LTD are a Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Contractors based in the West Midlands.
The company is approved and registered with the following recognized organisations NICEIC, CORGI and Construction Line.


The company has within it’s management team have some 60 years of knowledge and experience.  Operations have expanded from the original West Midlands base to include Nationwide Coverage.


The company has been established for 19 years operating throughout the midlands and also carrying out contracts nationwide

The company has a strong financial base and has an average turnover of £4m currently employing 40 plus personnel.

The company expertise has been gained in all sectors of work and domestic environment. 

Commercial, Industrial and domestic markets have all benefit from our Broad Skill Base.  Key contracts include Education and Local Authority work.  Domestic contracts include working in the home environment and the new build arena.

Our company workforce is qualified to 16th I.E.E. Edition Regulations Bs7671 and maintains an ongoing training programme compliant with current regulations. 

Training has provisionally been put in place for the proposed 17th  edition I.E.E. Regulations that will be legislation in January, 2008.
 
Health & Safety
 
Health & Safety is an area of major importance to the company

As a minimum Metric has one qualified Health and Safety supervisor in attendance on each site contract. In addition all employees are qualified in First Aid.

Specific Health and Safety areas include Asbestos Awareness and working at heights.

Company employees are responsible for complying with the Health and Safety Policy of the company and the Health and Safety Policies of Clients and Partnerships. All site employees carry a copy of the company health and Safety policy and in addition have access to a copy of all company policies within the main office.

All Clients are provided with Risk Assessments, although most are generic the Management Team and Workforce have the experience to recognise when a Specific Risk Assessment needs to be drafted and this is done before any work is commenced.

Our employees are aware of the importance of conducting themselves in a professional manner at all times to provide the highest level of Health and Safety with individual work environments. 

Protective equipment and clothing is provided for all employees as necessary and the use of any other PPE as appropriate. Company employees are required to have their protective clothing and equipment available and in good order at all times.
